so it was Christmas.

Our Christmas celebration went something like this:

We started in Chicago, with the big C family Christmas.
Lots of cousins.
Lots of food.
Carly got spoiled.
And she got her first taste of Aurelio's Pizza.
She was a fan.

 {Carly checking out her new blanket from Baga.}
 {reading with Aunt Laurie}
 ~
After Chicago, we got on an airplane.
A stranger gave us a sheet of stickers.
Its the only way we survived, as the flight was an hour longer than it was supposed to be.
Stupid headwind.
 ~
Skip forward to Christmas Eve.
We paid our first visit to Five Guys.
A round of applause is in order for Five Guys, that's for sure.

 Christmas Eve night we did the traditions.
Pajamas.
Reading The Polar Express.
Reading Luke 2.
Watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
I love traditions.

 And the wheat-eaters in the family participated in the Tim Tam Slam.
 Christmas morning came around 9:00.
Everyone was nice enough to wait for our girl to wake up.
It made for one happy Carly.

 {Shayla waiting for her turn to open a present}

 {Carly taking her new friend Toby on a walk}
 Brenna came to chat with Elder T.
And she got a new best friend.
 {Aunt Kasee taught Carly how to pretend-eat fake food}
 Then we spent the balance of the day "watching basketball".
~
We had a wonderful Christmas.
